Esta Susi pertenceu a uma tia minha, ela é de 1969. Já não tem os olhos pintados. Foi neste ano que a Estrela fez a mudança.

This Susi belonged to my aunt, she is from 1969. She no longer has her eyes painted. It was this year that Estrela  manufacture made the change.

Minha tia já era adulta quando comprou, ela está bem conservada. Mas a roupa com o passar dos anos estragou um pouco. Concertei o vestido e fiz meias novas.

My aunt was grown when she bought it, she's well kept. But the clothes over the years have spoiled a bit. I arranged the dress and made new stockings.

Think...1950s Pupi Doll

Esta é uma bonequinha Pupi da estrela, de acordo com o site da empresa, é uma das primeiras feitas em plástico. Pertence ao acervo da família e estava bem conservada, só não tinha mais a roupa e o sapato.

This is a doll named Pupi from Estrela, a brazilian's doll manufacture. According to the company's website, is one of the first made in plastic. It belongs to my family's collection but lost the clothes and shoes.

 Aqui está a marca estrela nas costas da boneca. O cabelo de lã mohair.
Here is the manufacture's mark on the back of the doll. The hair os made of mohair wool.

Assim fiz a roupinha, meias e o sapato. Aqui ela toda vestida.

So I made the clothes, socks and the shoes. Here she is all dressed up

Think...1930s baby doll

Este bebê é a boneca mais antiga da coleção. Pertenceu a minha tia-avó, ele é da década de 1930, possivelmente alemão.
Foi restaurado, mas os olhos não estavam bem pintados e não tinha roupas.

This baby is the oldest doll in the collection. It belonged to my great-aunt, he's from the 1930s, possibly German.
It was restored, but the eyes were not well painted and had no clothes.

Refiz a pintura dos olhos e sobrancelhas. Criei um camisolão e touca, tirados de um álbum de enxoval de bebê da década de 30.

I refined the painting of the eyes and eyebrows. I made a nightgown and cap, taken from a baby layette album from the 1930s.

Agora ele vestido! Foi feito em cambraia de algodão, com aplicações de renda e fita de cetim.

Now he's dressed! It was made in cotton cambric with lace and satin ribbon appliqués.

Pena que não tirei fotos do " antes e depois " para fazer a comparação, nos próximos projetos vou tirar!

Aqui ele está usando o vestido de batizado da minha mãe, feito em 1944. É uma preciosidade de bordados e rendinhas, mas está todo puído pela idade.

Too bad I did not take photos of the "before and after" to make the comparison, in the next projects I will take!
